I started Twirl with this photo in mind. I figured, if there is ever at least one person at each event having as much fun as me as a little flower girl in this photo, I have done my job well.

I started my career in fashion and film. No matter what I was working on events seem to find me – whether it was a promotional party for the magazine, screenings for the indy film house, organizing promotional parties or setting up important business meetings.

Personally, green event planning blossomed out of an effort to keep events attendees from drinking and driving. Ok then, I thought, no cars. It opened a world of possibilities. We now have a widespread effort around the world to go green in the events industry. The facts are startling! Behind construction, events are the #2 creators of waste. It is easy to be passionate about this endeavor, I feel I get to make a true, measurable difference by my work. But going green is not all about conservation and brown napkins. It is an exciting engagement point for education, innovative design and thoughtful material usage.
